Your Winning Strategy

✅ SC <1km:

  • Phase 1: Safest option (ratios <0.7:1)
  • ⚠️ 2A(1): Highly competitive (balloted for SC>2km)
  • ⚠️ 2B/2C: Extremely competitive (prepare backup plans)

🎲 SC 1-2km:

  • Phase 1: Only safe phase
  • ❌ 2A(1)/2B/2C: No historical vacancies

❌ SC >2km:

  • Phase 1: Only chance
  • ❌ 2A(1): Balloted every year
  • ❌ 2B/2C: No vacancies

❌ PR Applicants:

  • No vacancies since 2022

Key Observations

✔ Phase 2C is the most competitive with ratios consistently above 3:1
✔ 2A(1) requires balloting even for citizens beyond 2km
✔ Distance is absolutely critical – <1km status provides only chance in later phases
✔ Phase 1 remains the only truly safe option for all applicants

Pro Tips

1️⃣ Phase 1 is Your Best Bet

  • Only phase with ratios consistently below 1:1
  • If eligible through alumni/sibling priority, apply here

2️⃣ Relocate for Any Chance in Later Phases

  • <1km status is mandatory for 2B/2C consideration
  • Even then, prepare for likely balloting

3️⃣ Have Strong Backup Options

  • Given extreme competition, identify alternative schools
  • Consider schools with better odds for your priority group

4️⃣ Monitor 2A(1) Trends

  • While always competitive, ratios fluctuate yearly
  • 2024 saw highest competition (1.47:1)

2025 Prediction

🔹 Phase 1: Will remain the only non-balloted phase
🔹 2A(1): Continued balloting for SC>2km likely
🔹 2B/2C: Will remain extremely competitive (<1km only)
🔹 Distance Priority: <1km becomes even more crucial
