Applicant-to-Vacancy Ratios

How competitive is your phase?

  • Example: 100 applicants for 50 spots → 100 ÷ 50 = 2.0:1 (balloting likely).
  • Low ratio (e.g., 0.5:1): No balloting (fewer applicants than spots).

2B2.38:12.65:12.85:1SC<1 (all years)
2C2.40:12.88:12.40:1SC<1 (all years)
Phase 30:10:10:1No vacancies since 2022

Your Winning Strategy

1. By Priority Group

SC<1 (Singapore Citizens <1km):
✅ 2A(1): Safe (never balloted for SC<1).
⚠️ 2B/2C: Highly competitive but prioritized (SC<1 always ballots).

SC1-2 (Singapore Citizens 1–2km):
✅ 2A(1): Safe (never balloted).
❌ 2B/2C: No vacancies (balloting for SC<1 only).

SC>2 (Singapore Citizens >2km):
🎲 2A(1): Balloted every year (higher risk).
❌ 2B/2C: No vacancies.

PR Applicants (PR<1, PR1-2, PR>2):
❌ No vacancies since 2022 (Phase 3 closed).

2. Pro Tips

  • Distance is Key: Secure SC<1 status for best 2B/2C chances
  • Phase Strategy: Target 2A(1) first if eligible
  • Watch Trends: 2B competition increasing yearly
  • Have Backup: Consider nearby schools as alternatives

2025 Prediction

  • 2A(1): Likely to ballot again for SC>2 applicants
  • 2B: Most competitive phase (SC<1 only)
  • 2C: Remains challenging but stable
  • Phase 3: Unlikely to reopen
